Child sponsorship at World Vision connects you with a child while supporting long-term, community-led programmes that help children, families and communities thrive.
Your monthly donation is pooled with others to fund initiatives like clean water, education, healthcare and child protection - designed in partnership with local communities to create lasting change.
As a sponsor, you’ll receive updates about your child via the World Vision My Sponsorship App and can build a meaningful connection through messages and shared experiences.
Sponsoring a chid starts from just £30 a month, that’s less than £1 a day. A small donation that creates a big impact because our sponsorship model is community-led, so your support extends beyond one child and will help transform a whole community.

The donation you give doesn't go directly to your sponsored child or family.
For maximum impact and efficiency, your monthly donations are combined with those of other sponsors to ensure consistent support for your sponsored child and their community, as well as other sponsorship communities around the world. This means your donations go much further.
If your circumstances change and you need to stop sponsoring a child, you can do so at any time. If you are thinking about cancelling your sponsorship, please get in touch, as there may be other ways in which you can continue your support. The child you sponsor will continue to benefit from the changes in their community and we will do our best to find a new sponsor for them.
START YOUR JOURNEY
When you sponsor a child, you'll receive letters, photos and regular updates. You'll see how your support brings food, clean water, education and safety to them and their community.
You'll witness them achieving their dreams and you’ll be part of something bigger, something changing their world and yours – for good.
You'll get access to your My Sponsorship account, with updates, news, and videos from your sponsored child and their community.
Within the first week of signing up, we’ll email you a video of your sponsored child’s community giving you an insight into their daily life.
You’ll receive a welcome pack with more information and a photo of your sponsored child. You'll also have access to the new Child Sponsorship App, so you can easily learn more about and communicate with your sponsored child.
You'll have received your first letter from your sponsored child. Write to them anytime by post or online, and you'll always get a reply. And if you'd like to visit your sponsored child, contact our Supporter Team.
We’ll send you a card to add a message for your sponsored child. These may arrive a couple of months early to ensure timely delivery.
We’ll send you a progress update, including a new photo, an update on their life, and a note or drawing from your sponsored child. After 12 months, you can also arrange to visit your sponsored child.
I would say to someone who is thinking about sponsoring a child - go ahead and do it; it is the most life-changing thing ever!
