Supporting our work

When you donate to World Vision, 81% of your donation goes directly to charitable activities. The other 19% is invested in fundraising, so you'll support us to raise more money to help children around the world. Supporting refugees

In 2017, over 720,000 Rohingya fled their country and settled in Bangladesh. It's thanks to supporters, that we're providing a safe environment for the children in the camps. From tarps and poles to help get them through monsoons, to clean water and toilets. We're treating malnourished children and giving them nutritious food. And we advocate on their behalf.

Emergency aid

When an emergency such as the Beirut explosion hits, we're on the ground supporting where we can. Providing safety and shelter for families and children, making sure those affected have enough food, and helping communities rebuild and recover. Helping fight coronavirus

In Bangladesh, trained World Vision staff are training and preparing the community to protect themselves from the threat of coronavirus. The message they're delivering will be familiar to anyone in the UK - stay home, wash your hands frequently, and social distance. Donating to Childhood Rescue helps initiatives like this in times of crisis, in communities that are the most vulnerable.

Coronavirus in refugee camps

Families living in Syrian refugee camps have already escaped from unimaginable dangers, and now are facing a new danger that they can't run from. Many are afraid to leave their tent. "Seven years in Lebanon, and this is by far the toughest phase" mum of five Fatima said. "I still recall the bombing in Syria, and how scary it was, but you can hear the explosion and run away from it. This virus is unseen and unheard - it is like an invisible weapon."

This ranges from the provision of life-saving essentials and healthcare, to counselling, play therapy and education for children.
