Afghanistan Emergency Appeal

Help children and communities struggling to survive.

Children and families in Afghanistan still urgently need your help

After years of conflict, drought, recent earthquakes and aid cuts, millions of people in Afghanistan are living in crisis conditions. With the increase in returnees due to instability across the Middle East and Gulf region, the need for humanitarian assistance is as urgent as ever.

Substantial hunger remains widespread. Acute malnutrition continues to be severe, with millions of children under five and pregnant and breastfeeding women at risk.

Your donation today will help provide children and families with the critical food, water, nutrition, sanitation and hygiene support that they need to survive.

How your donation helps

Your support today will help children and families fighting for survival.

Afghanistan is experiencing one of the world’s worst humanitarian crises. More than half of the country's population lives below the poverty line, and food insecurity is on the rise.

Two out of every three - or more than 13 million - children in Afghanistan need life-saving aid, including 3.7 million children who are acutely malnourished.

We are continuing our work across four regions in the country, partnering with trusted agencies to support communities by protecting lives, empowering families and restoring hope to those who need it most.
