Children in Nepal are fighting for survival
At around 9am on 26 August 2026, the Bhote Koshi River burst its banks and tore through Nepal’s Rasuwa and Nuwakot districts. Entire villages have been swept away. The BBC is now reporting over 1,300 people missing. Bridges collapsed. Roads vanished. Villages are now cut off from the world, with no power, no signal, no way out. These are families who had so little to lose and lost it anyway. Parents are watching over their children with no roof over their heads, and no access to clean water or food. Every hour that passes makes the wait harder, and the danger greater.
