That’s why we’re asking for your support to save lives and protect children. We’re in Eastern Europe right now, responding to the urgent needs of children and families who have been forced to flee their homes.

The UN estimates 3.5 million people have fled Ukraine, but numbers are likely to rise as the conflict intensifies.

The funds you donate to this emergency appeal will support emergency response for displaced children and families in the Ukraine and neighbouring countries. We will use donations in the Ukraine through partners when it is possible. If this is not possible or in the unlikely event we receive more donations than we need for this emergency, the donations will be used to help displaced and refugee populations elsewhere around the world.

During 2020, we helped over 27 million people in emergencies across 48 countries - that’s 74,000 people each day. We respond to humanitarian crises caused by conflict as well as natural disasters.

We’re one of the first organisations on the ground when an emergency strikes. Within 72 hours of a disaster, we can deliver lifesaving supplies anywhere in the world – often even sooner.

In the wake of a disaster, we stay to help rebuild the lives of children, families, and communities. We also help to build resilience so that if another disaster strikes, they are better able to cope.
