In early 2019, the UNHCR announced that a staggering 70.8 million people had been forcibly displaced over the previous year. That’s more than the total population of the United Kingdom. When these men, women and children arrived in camps, often with nothing other than the clothes on their backs, little did they think their new life would involve avoiding a potentially deadly disease.
