For £30 a month, you will join our incredible community of Premier child sponsors who, like you, are dedicated to giving the most vulnerable children a brighter future.
Your monthly donation will be pooled with those of other sponsors to ensure consistent support for your sponsored child and their community, as well as other sponsorship communities around the world.
This means your donations go much further, helping support children going hungry or without access to clean water. Children missing an education. Children at risk of forced child marriage or abuse.

Your sponsorship can help families access medical care in some of the toughest parts of the world and make sure children living in poverty are vaccinated. We'll also use sponsorship money to empower families living in vulnerable conditions to protect their children from preventable diseases.
You can stop children like Bizwell and Leonard from dying from drinking dirty water. Child Sponsorship helps us build boreholes and clean water taps, so no mother has to choose between giving her child dirty water or no water at all. Clean water saves lives, keeps children healthy, and allows them to attend school.

When you sponsor a child, you'll receive letters, photos and regular updates. You'll see how your support brings food, shelter and safety to them and their community. You'll also witness them achieving their dreams.
You'll get access to your My Sponsorship account with updates, news, and videos from your sponsored child and their community. Exchange letters, send photos, or find out what the weather is like where they live!
Within the first week of signing up, we’ll email you a video of your sponsored child’s community giving you an insight into their daily life.
You’ll receive a welcome pack with more information, a photo of your sponsored child, and a postcard - so you can easily write to them if you want to.
You'll have received your first letter from your sponsored child. Write to them anytime by post or online, and you'll always get a reply.
We’ll send you a card to add a message for your sponsored child. These may arrive a couple of months early to ensure timely delivery.
We’ll send you a progress update, including a new photo, an update on their life, and a note or drawing from your sponsored child.
79% of our income goes directly to charitable activities - helping families and their communities. The other 21% is invested in fundraising, so you'll support us to raise more money to help children around the world.

31-year-old Abimael, a former sponsored child, is now the mayor of his local district in Peru. Sponsorship gave his family a lifeline, allowing him to continue his education and study civil engineering. His involvement in World Vision's leadership programmes inspired him to create meaningful change in his community.
Geteneh, a former sponsored child, is living proof that sponsorship has a lasting impact. Sponsorship provided the essentials for his education, and he has now graduated from university. "Being sponsored is to be positively impacted for a bright future for yourself and others," he says. He now works for a bank in his community.
Zeer, a former sponsored child, has graduated with a bachelor’s degree in education. Sponsorship provided school supplies and support, allowing her to continue her education. "Without the support of my sponsor, I would not have come this far," she says. Zeer is now training to become a teacher.

World Vision has had a Child Sponsorship programme for 75 years. We pair donors with a vulnerable child who needs protection and empowerment.
Child Sponsorship costs from £30 per month, and brings much-needed change to more than just the sponsored children — the benefits you help provide extend to each child's family, their community and other children in need.
This is because World Vision partners, plans and works closely with local community members to help build healthy, sustainable communities for vulnerable children and their families in the world’s hardest places. Learn more about how Child Sponsorship works.
The donation you give doesn't go directly to your sponsored child or family.
For maximum impact and efficiency, your monthly donations are combined with those of other sponsors to ensure consistent support for your sponsored child and their community, as well as other sponsorship communities around the world. This means your donations go much further.
We work with communities for ten years or more, and we only move out when we're sure the community are ready to stand on their own two feet, continuing their development without us. Your sponsorship will usually last until your child reaches the age of 18 or leaves education. But it also depends on how long we've been working with that community.
We'll keep you updated throughout your sponsorship when we're planning to move on from your child's community. If the project where you are sponsoring comes to an end, or your child moves on for any reason, we'll let you know and give you the opportunity to continue your sponsorship journey with a different child who needs the support of a sponsor.
If your circumstances change and you need to stop sponsoring a child, you can do so at any time. If you are thinking about cancelling your sponsorship, please get in touch, as there may be other ways in which you can continue your support. The child you sponsor will continue to benefit from the changes in their community and we will do our best to find a new sponsor for them.
All of World Vision's work begins with listening to communities in need. Community leaders work with us to identify the most vulnerable children and families who will benefit from Child Sponsorship.
We work with national governments and other international agencies to identify the regions and communities most in need and where the most vulnerable children live. We then meet with community leaders and the wider community to better understand the challenges and the opportunities for them and we develop a long-term plan together to break the cycle of poverty.
