Chosen is a child's unique opportunity to transform their life - and yours. Instead of you choosing which child you would like to sponsor, a child from Pajule in Uganda will choose you at one of our choosing parties.

Your name and photo are sent to a community in need where a big choosing party is held.
At the choosing party we let the children pick which person, couple or family they want to be their sponsors from the photos displayed. Then we'll let you know who chose you! You'll also find out why you were chosen.
Your donation is pooled with the donations of other sponsors to support community projects such as the installation of clean water taps, improved healthcare facilities, and more to make sure your sponsored child can achieve their dreams.
We provide regular updates on how you are transforming your sponsored child's life including videos and photos. You'll receive letters from your sponsored child, and if you'd like, you can even write back and send birthday cards.

Five-year-old Milli doesn't know for sure if her sponsor is a doctor, but because his shirt is tucked in, and he wears glasses, she assumes that he is. Choosing her sponsor has empowered Milli to follow her own dream of one day becoming a doctor. She sees her own family in the photo she chose, "I love them because they have three in the family and we have three in the family. They have a daughter, and I am a daughter."

In most cases, it will be throughout their childhood and into their teens. Most children will be in the sponsorship programme until their community has begun to reach most of its goals, and is ready to support itself. As a project comes to a close we will let you know of the achievements in the community so you can celebrate with us.
