Whilst the ceasefire is good news for children across the region, two years of violence and instability has taken a massive toll. After such devastation and suffering, only a response of truly historic scale can begin to restore hope for children and their families.

For children, the consequences have been devastating. Many have faced the gnawing reality of hunger. Many have been forced out of school, or into unsafe work, simply so their families can survive. Childhoods have been stolen.

Children can access emergency schooling and psychosocial support to cope with trauma. And health clinics can be equipped with the essentials needed to care for the most vulnerable.

We respond all over the world

During 2024, we helped over 35 million people in emergencies - including 19 million children. We respond to humanitarian crises, caused by conflict as well as natural disasters, in 65 different countries.

We’re one of the first organisations to respond when an emergency strikes. Within 72 hours of a disaster, we can deliver lifesaving supplies anywhere in the world – often even sooner.
