Child Mental Health & Protection in Emergencies

Evidence of effectiveness of the Child Friendly Spaces Toolkit

A summary report of the findings of our latest research into the impact of child friendly spaces on the mental well-being and protection of children.

The report summarises three years of collaborative research between World Vision, Columbia University and Africhild into the effectiveness of the Child Friendly Spaces Toolkit in the West Nile refugee response, Uganda.

It is the third and final phase of collaborative research on this topic and was funded by Elrha’s Research for Health in Humanitarian Crises (R2HC) programme.

The summary includes two infographics presenting the main findings and impact.
