A prayer for the Middle East
Join with us as we pray for children and families across the region.
Please join us in our prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today and ask for your mercy in the Middle East. As renewed conflict spreads and fear grows, we lift up every person whose life has been disrupted - those forced from their homes, those sheltering in uncertainty, and those grieving sudden loss.
Please, Lord, bring an end to violence that is destroying lives.
Please protect those who are most vulnerable: children who are frightened and confused; parents trying to keep their loved ones safe; the elderly; people living with disabilities or long-term illness; pregnant women and new mothers.
Lord, you know each one by name. We ask you to protect those who cannot protect themselves.
Grant strength to communities who are exhausted by ongoing instability, and hope to those who feel overwhelmed by fear and uncertainty.
Father God, we also ask for wisdom for all who can make a difference. For organisations like World Vision, who are supporting those who’ve been affected. And for the international community, seeking to de-escalate the situation.
In Jesus’ name we pray,
Amen.
Help us as we respond today in Lebanon and the West Bank
World Vision is one of only three organisations already positioned in southern Lebanon. We already have staff and supplies in place, providing temporary shelters, hot meals, blankets, hygiene kits and more.
In the West Bank, we’ve been providing emergency relief supplies to families who’ve lost everything.
Your donation today can deliver the life-saving support children need to survive – before it’s too late.
