New start kit for a refugee child

Eight-year-old Doruka (pictured) has been living in a refugee settlement in Uganda since September 2017. She ran from conflict in South Sudan with her siblings and her grandmother. They walked for a month to reach the Ugandan border. Her father was killed in South Sudan, and no one knows where her mother is.

Often, children cross borders with very few - or no - belongings. This charity gift of shoes and a backpack could give a child who's lost everything something practical that is their own.
