Gender Pay Gap Reporting

As an organisation whose identity is underpinned by our faith, and our Christian values of equality, dignity and justice, World Vision UK is strongly committed to reducing the gender pay gap within our organisation.

Our Gender Pay Gap Reporting continues to show a gap between the average pay of women and men in the charity, however this has been closing year-on-year.

The gap does not stem from paying men and women differently for the same or equivalent work, rather it is the result of the roles in which men and women work within the organisation, and the salaries these roles attract. Since the publication of the first report our Gender Pay Gap narrowed from a mean pay gap of 24.2% in 2017 to a mean pay gap of 11.7% in 2022. However, there was a slight increase in 2023 to a mean pay gap of 13.3%.

In 2023, World Vision UK finalised its Thriving People Strategy which sets out our people and workforce aims for the next several years, as well as addressing the gender pay gap.  The strategy specifically includes workstreams focussed on an overhaul of our approach to pay, to ensure we have an equitable pay model, and a full review of our equality, diversity and inclusion aims.
