Charity volunteering with World Vision

Together, in so many ways, we can transform lives.

Why volunteer for charity

Charity volunteering is a fantastic way to get involved in fun activities whilst helping change children's lives.

World Vision volunteers help out at fundraising and artists events, Christian festivals and through local groups and communities.

We'd absolutely love for you to come and join us!

We rely on our fantastic team of dedicated volunteers to help us all over the country, and we’d love for you to join us.

Due to the coronavirus epidemic and recent government advice, most events have been cancelled or postponed. But you can still register to hear about events and festivals you could volunteer for in the future.

Every 60 seconds a family receives the tools to overcome poverty.

Our volunteering roles give people the opportunity to hone or learn new skills, connect with people in their local area, and support children and families across the world to have brighter futures.

FAQs about charity volunteering with World Vision

  1. Are World Vision events still happening?

Due to the current UK epidemic of coronavirus and recent government advice, most events have been cancelled or postponed.

You can still register to receive updates of artist events and Christian festivals you could volunteer for in the future.

  2. What happens when I apply to volunteer?

Registering doesn’t sign you up for anything - but you'll be able to see all our volunteer opportunities with more about each event (date, place, etc.) and what's expected. It'll also allow us to email you about volunteering and when new volunteer opportunities open up (you can unsubscribe at any time).

  3. What will I be expected to do?

Each event varies, so make sure to check the details with the organiser or online. During performances, you’ll be asked to sign up supporters who want to sponsor a child.

At Christian festivals, we usually aim to create fun ways to show how supporters can transform the lives of the most vulnerable children - you could be helping with the stand, meeting people and talking about World Vision’s work.

  4. What skills or experience do I need?

You don’t need any specific skills or experience to volunteer but it’s best if you like talking and interacting with people. Having said that, if this is a skill you want to develop and you’re enthusiastic and ready to give your best, then come on board.
