Our ambassadors are a team of passionate child sponsors who spread the word about World Vision.
They represent World Vision at events and promote our campaigns throughout the year.
Our ambassadors also give talks to churches, schools and in their community, to spread the word and inspire people to help change children's lives.

World Vision ambassador Graham is passionate about raising awareness about the Syria crisis and helping refugees. After a trip to a refugee camp, he started a ‘Running from Aleppo’ challenge. During the challenge, he ran 200 half-marathons in just over 200 days for World Vision.
Gail, a former professional conductor, is an ordained Christian minister and part of Churches in Communities International. She helps World Vision to promote our work and message, often providing her thoughts on Christianity for the World Vision family.
After sponsoring a child for many years, Sue was one of the first to join our Ambassadors team. Sue has inspired many others in her local area to get involved with World Vision, as well as taking part in events in Parliament. She has even visited her sponsored child in Senegal, where she danced, laughed and learnt from the community.
These have been very warm and heartfelt occasions and have given me the opportunity to meet many lovely people.

Ambassador and Fundraising Specialist
Over the last few decades we've enjoyed the support of a wide range of actors, musicians and beyond.
They've been ambassadors for our work, helping us bring global attention to the needs of our world's vulnerable children and young people, how we are working long term with local communities to meet those needs, so all children can experience the fullness of life.
After the Duchess of Sussex became a Global Ambassador for World Vision in 2016, she travelled to Rwanda with World Vision's work, celebrating with a community as water pumps were turned on bringing them clean water for the first time. In 2017 she visited India to see World Vision’s progress in getting more girls into school, and how we raised awareness to tackle stigma around periods and a lack of access to toilets.
Game of Thrones' Jerome Flynn has been sponsoring children with World Vision for almost twenty years, more recently supporting our work with child soldiers. In 2017, he spent time in Myanmar, meeting young children who had been forced into armed groups and visiting projects helping street kids and victims of human trafficking. In March 2019, Jerome spent time with families in South Sudan, including an entire family who had been abducted by armed forces.
Downton Abbey star Elizabeth McGovern sponsors Jestina in Sierra Leone and in 2013 she travelled to meet her. In 2014 she helped promote our #ANightOfHope campaign to raise money and awareness to help children in war-torn Syria.
In August 2017, TV baker Selasi travelled to the refugee settlements in Uganda – including the world’s largest, Bidi Bidi – with World Vision UK, where he met the child refugees who had fled the brutal conflict in neighbouring South Sudan.
