Thanks to UK supporters, last year we supported 2.5 million children across 36 countries:
8-month-old Unab from Sudan has been treated for severe malnutrition and a bacteria infection. At a World Vision supported nutrition centre, she was given a nutritional supplement to treat the malnutrition and her mum, Haja, received cash to help support her family's food security.
Millions of children die every year from preventable causes. It's a lottery of dirty water, infections they weren’t immunised against, malnutrition and illnesses that can be treated with the right healthcare.

12-year-old Polina escaped the conflict in Ukraine with her mother and pet dog. She's now a refugee in Romania. World Vision was among the first to respond to the Ukraine crisis, and we're committed to delivering long-term support over the next two to three years, helping children and families rebuild their lives over the longer term.

Mensur was just eight when his father left him, his mother, and his then four-month-old brother. Mensur stayed at home looking after his brother while their mum tried to earn a living, which meant he missed out on school. When World Vision staff arrived at their community, their mum received seeds and some chickens, with relevant training. Today, they are thriving and Mensur is back at school and doing well.
We work with communities to ensure their lives are transformed for the long term, so progress is sustained after we leave.

Risaaq, five, and his family from Somalia received seven chickens and one cockerel to help ensure continued food security and livelihood after a two-year drought. The sale of eggs helps cover basic family needs, such as purchasing water, soap, and feed from the market. Additionally, consuming eggs provides valuable protein for the children, improving their nutrition, especially when meat is too expensive. Risaaq's mum expresses gratitude to World Vision for their support, as the sales of eggs contribute significantly to the family's well-being and happiness.
