Asia tsunami

More than three years after the Asia tsunami prompted World Vision's largest-ever humanitarian response, programming is coming to a close. World Vision stayed well beyond the initial emergency relief stage to help families and communities rebuild their lives.

The vast majority of those affected have moved back to their communities of origin or relocated to safer areas. Homes have been repaired or reconstructed entirely, and people have begun to resume their livelihoods.
