In the continued efforts to assist the victims of the Java earthquake, World Vision is distributing kits to around 3,000 children affected by the 27 May disaster.

The first batch of the distribution took place in Patalan village in Bantul district at the end of July, where World Vision distributed more than 150 kits to quake-affected children.

The children, who received the kits, have been attending activities held in World Vision-supported child-friendly space in Gaduh sub-village, Patalan. Each child was given a ‘children kit’, which included items such as a blanket, folded table, sandals, toothpaste and toothbrush.

Following the devastating earthquake that destroyed their homes and schools, many children have been left with nothing, their childhood belongings buried in the rubble where their homes once stood.
