Jane has a background in languages and education and worked as an English teacher with Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) in China in the early nineties. Following that she worked in various support and management roles with VSO in Guinea Bissau, Cameroon, the Eastern Caribbean and the UK. She brought a passion to be part of challenging these injustices to her new role when she joined World Vision in November 1999.

While Head of Programme Development she formed World Vision International's Disability Awareness Network with some like-minded colleagues, a network which had grown to encompass hundreds of World Vision staff across dozens of countries, all committed to ensuring the full inclusion of disabled people in World Vision's policies and programmes.

Jane has recently taken on the role of Senior Disability Policy Adviser based in World Vision UK.
