Darfur

Over the course of three years of conflict an estimated 2.2 million* people have fled their homes in the province of Darfur in western Sudan. A further estimated 200,000 people have been killed. Civilians are fleeing in response to a campaign of terror, including indiscriminate shootings, rape and burning of villages.
