1st December is World AIDS Day

Latest figures have shown that new HIV infections have fallen, and greater access to drugs has cut the HIV death toll.

Whilst we welcome these findings, we believe there is still a long way to go. That’s why we’re continuing to call for universal access to HIV prevention, treatment, care and support.

This World AIDS Day, meet some ordinary people who are doing extraordinary things in response to HIV and AIDS. People like Godfrey, who left school at the age of ten to look after his family; and Grandma Zoe, who cares for 15 orphaned children.

Janet Malcolmson visited Kenya last week; she's sent an eyewitness report on the response to HIV there.

You can also join our Child Health Now campaign and help save the lives of millions of children who die from preventable causes before their fifth birthday.
