South Sudan Crisis Appeal

The fighting is still continuing in South Sudan.

Please help us to provide much needed food, water and medical supplies to those most in need

Help children in South Sudan

Ayei Wieu, a mother of 5, is here with Malou Lual, She tells us “I stopped producing milk. The baby is suffering, she cries a lot, she is suffering from hunger, and we don’t have enough to eat.”

As the civil war continues, up to 4.8 million people in South Sudan – well over one-third of the population – are facing severe food shortages. There is a serious risk of starvation and malnutrition.

Hundreds of thousands have been forced to flee to overcrowded refugee camps, many in neighbouring Uganda. We have been on hand to provide hot meals and assistance to new arrivals.

Your support is still needed: the desperation in the world’s youngest country, which has just turned five years old, is increasing, with many children still endangered by violence, exploitation, malnutrition and disease.

Please give now to provide emergency food, water and medical care to children and families most in need »

How your money can help

  • £15 could provide water containers and purification tablets
  • £35 could buy lifesaving medical care for a malnourished child
  • £80 could feed a family with rice, beans and cooking oil for two weeks
