Hello, my name is Grejsi
Gender: girl | My age: 2 |
My home: Lezha, Albania
My birthday is on the 22nd July. My favourite game is playing with dolls. In Lezha life is hard for children like me. But sponsor me today and you can change my world for good.
I live in Lezha, Albania
a village in the north of Albania
Change my world today
Life is hard for me, but your child sponsorship will change my life and bring me hope. Here’s where your money will go:
Many children are afraid of abuse, at home and at school.
Your sponsorship will help set up children's groups so children can learn to protect themselves.
We struggle to get the right education and do well at school.
Your sponsorship will help set up parent teacher associations to help parents encourage their children and improve their schooling.
Children with disabilites struggle to get a basic education.
Your sponsorship will train teachers on how to include children with disabilities, so they can reach their potential.

World Vision is the world’s largest, international children’s charity. We have over 60 years’ experience working with parents and communities to improve the lives of their children. Our organisation upholds the highest levels of transparency and accountability. We build relationships, trust and give families the tools to help themselves and future generations. But this work takes time, effort and commitment. Our programmes within a community usually last for 10 to 15 years.
The impact of child-focused community development is long-lasting and along the way children’s health improves, communities become more resilient and families gain hope.
£26 per month is what it costs for us to do this well. And it works.
We work with national governments and other international agencies to identify the regions and communities that are most in need; the hardest places where the most vulnerable children live. We meet with community leaders and the wider community to understand their challenges and opportunities, and we develop a long-term plan together, to break the cycle of poverty.
The donation you give does not go directly to your sponsored child or family. That's because experience has taught us it’s more effective to use the money on projects that will benefit your child’s whole community, at the same time improving their personal wellbeing.
When you sponsor a child, you can write to each other, and you’ll have regular news from their community. The relationship could change both your lives. "I am so happy to have a friend in another country that I can write to and share pictures with," says Nareh from Armenia. “I am studying the Armenian alphabet. When I learn them all, I will teach them to my distant friend. I am so happy to have a friend in another country.”
