Clean water

Nepalese boy collecting clean water  Jumla is a remote, mountainous region of Nepal. The people who live there are desperately poor and depend on farming to survive. With little infrastructure and precious little arable land, they struggle to produce enough crops to feed themselves, let alone earn a living.

However, World Vision supporters are funding a project which is changing everything by providing the water supply they need. The project has enabled the community to start work constructing six small irrigation schemes. Good irrigation will make it possible to grow a wider variety of crops, over a longer period. And over time, this water will change the physical landscape, making it more fertile for future generations. Help continue this vital work in Jumla, Nepal and with projects giving crucial access to water in other poor communities.
