The family festival, Wychwood returns to Cheltenham Racecourse for its’ eighth outing, 8-10 June 2012. Nominated Best Family Festival in the UK Festival Awards every year- more than 100 acts across indie, world and folk genres- bands including James, Bellowhead, The Damned, The Saw Doctors, Hawkwind, Port Isaac’s Fisherman’s Friends, Duke Special, Dodgy, Sharon Shannon, Show of Hands, Dr & The Medics, Dhol Foundation and Howard Marks and many many more!
Add to that comedy with the likes of Jarred Christmas and Science Shows with Robin Ince and Friends, over 100 workshops for all ages, Performances and meet and greets with Cbeebies Stars Katy Ashworth (I Can Cook) and Nina & The Neurons, The Headphone Disco until the early hours, the Children’s Literature Festival (with many great authors including Ian Whybrow and Tony De Saules, great food and ale, healing gardens and idyllic camping beneath the Prestbury Hills, and you have your perfect summer-opening festival!
If you've never been to a festival before or are an old hand, why not come and enjoy Wychwood with us this year. You can come for the day or weekend, and camping tickets are also available as well as free entry for under 10s, and special prices for students, 16-18 year olds, concessions and those with disabilities.
