ONE NATION, ONE MONTH, 1000 CHILDREN

World Vision and Carol Smillie are calling on the people of Scotland to make 1000 child sponsorships before the end of September. 

Carol decided to support leading children’s charity World Vision when she found out about the great work that the charity is doing to reduce child poverty in developing countries.

Carol was moved by the fact that children are particularly vulnerable in poor countries and often lack the basics we take for granted. Things like clean, safe drinking water, enough food to eat, life-saving medication and a right to an education.

Child sponsorship costs £22.80 per month – just 75p a day. That’s less than the price of a cup of coffee. Take a moment to consider how a child sponsorship can bring about long-term benefits to the child, their family and community, to free them from the grip of poverty.
