Drawing from her own journey, she understands the transformative power, inspiration can have on shaping destinies and entire communities. With her heritage spurring her on, Freda is committed to leveraging her platform to drive meaningful change in Ghana and across the African continent.

During an enriching visit to Ghana, Freda witnessed the remarkable impact of our transformational projects first hand, sharing memorable moments with our beneficiaries and joyfully playing football with the local children.

Our work in Ghana

At World Vision, we're dedicated to making a positive impact in Ghana, having started in 1979. We address the key challenges children and their families face. Currently we are working across over 77 communities, impacting the lives of 3.5 million over the last few years.

Our experienced staff and dedicated community volunteers ensure each programme succeeds improving access to quality education and healthcare, providing economic empowerment opportunities, protecting children from harm, combating the impacts of climate change, and responding to disasters.

Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH)

World Vision's water initiatives in Ghana have impacted over 85,000 lives, providing safe drinking water to communities. Over 200 individuals, including children, can now enjoy improved water services at home because of World Vision's commitment to transforming lives through sustainable solutions.

Education

At the heart of World Vision Ghana's projects, over 42,000 children dive into the transformative world of Unlock Literacy. This initiative shares thousands of mother language readers and storybooks with schools and reading clubs, impacting over 32,000 young learners with enriched literacy experiences from Kindergarten to Primary 3.

Child Protection and Advocacy

World Vision Ghana's impactful contributions include involvement in 7 policy reviews set to benefit over 13.5 million children. Establishing 200 communities with effective feedback mechanisms ensures direct input from community members, reflecting their commitment to positive change.

Health and Nutrition

In a major outreach, World Vision reached 44,000 community members with crucial nutritional messages. Over 1,500 individuals received education on dietary diversity, enhancing overall nutrition knowledge.
