Here’s an overview of the package we offer to our staff as we aim to balance being good stewards of resources with making a long term career with World Vision a viable option.

 

Basic salary

Performance related salary which is comparable with other large charities.

Pension

A Stakeholder schemewith employer contributions of 7% and employee contributions of at least 3%.

Annual leave

25 days per year, plus statutory Bank Holidays.

Travel allowance

An allowance for staff who live further away from our office to contribute to additional travel costs.

Permanent health insurance

An insurance scheme that provides for 60% of salary after 6 months of continuous sickness absence.

Life insurance

An insurance scheme that provides for a lump sum payment of four times basic salary in the event of death in service.

Personal accident insurance

An insurance scheme that provides various payments in the case of staff being permanently injured in an accident.

Occupational sick pay

Sick pay benefits which exceed Statutory Sick Pay, providing for 13 weeks full pay and 13 weeks half pay for certified sickness.

Occupational maternity pay

Maternity benefits which exceed Statutory Maternity Pay, providing for up to 13 weeks full pay followed by 26 weeks at the published SMP rate.

Travel insurance

Comprehensive cover for all work related travel internationally.

Cycle to work

Option to buy a cycle though the national ‘Cycle to Work’ salary sacrifice scheme.

Child care vouchers

Option to obtain Child Care Vouchers through a salary sacrifice scheme.

Private health cover

Option to obtain preferential rates for personal and family BUPA cover.

Personal counselling support

Option to access independent counselling in situations of personal difficulty where external support would be beneficial.
